The Full Story

A Lifetime of Creativity

Growing up I was always surrounded by art and found great joy in making things with my hands. I have spastic cerebral palsy as I got older it became harder to make things and found myself gravitate towards painting. I have a BFA from Cal Poly Humboldt with emphasis in painting.

The work that I produce reflects the intimate connection I have with the nature world. Over time, I have done botanical illustration, watercolor, fresco and now oil painting. As in deep ecology, all life has intrinsic value. Nature's complex systems reveal some of the deepest truths in the most subtle ways. In its story, form, tone, and light take the main stage. I allow my visual and emotional senses to guide me and take this information to translate in a visual and relatable way. For we are a part of Nature, there is still a lot to teach us, socially, cultural, and emotionally. My mission in this work is to inspire other to slow down, take a pause, and appreciate nature in a new way.
